Thai Airways International (THAI) on Monday [January 13] announced the cancellation of its Bangkok-Manila flights following Sunday’s eruption of the Taal Volcano on Luzon Island south of Manila, causing plumes of ash and smoke.
Manila International Airport announced its temporary closure from 7pm local time (6pm Thai time) on Sunday, January 12.
As a result, the following THAI flights have been cancelled:
Flight TG 625 Manila-Bangkok on January 12
Flight TG 620 and Flight TG 624 Bangkok-Manila on January 13.
Flight TG 621 and Flight TG 625 Manila-Bangkok on January 13
THAI will closely monitor the situation and return to its regular schedules once permission from Manila International Airport has been received. Passengers scheduled to travel on the above flights are advised to keep abreast of all related news and flight information via thaiairways.com or contact THAI Contact Cenre at (02) 356 1111 (24 hours).
The ticket change fee will be waived (terms and conditions apply) for passengers holding THAI roundtrip tickets on the Bangkok-Manila route dated from January 12-27. which can be rescheduled by end of day January 27. Contact THAI Sales Offices, the THAI Contact Centre or authorized travel agents.
